HUMBOLDT — Overtime was needed in Humboldt Middle School’s girls A-Team game against Yates Center Monday night.
With less than five seconds left, Humboldt’s Madison Gean scored on a putback and a layup to tie the game at 23-23 and force overtime.
“Once we got to overtime, we had the momentum and the girls played a great three minutes,” coach Scott Brady said. “I was so proud of the way the girls fought back against a really good Yates Center team and came up big in the last few minutes.”
