The Humboldt softball team has been rolling through opponents this season in route to an 18-0 record and on Wednesday Oswego was next up.
The Cubs took care of the over-matched Oswego team by beating them 10-0 in five innings and 15-3 in five innings.
“We played good against a good Oswego team,” Cub coach Brad Piley said.
Courtney Richey started the opener for the Cubs and pitched all five shutout innings and only allowed three hits. Richey improved her record to 13-0 on the season.
Hannah Hulett led the Cubs with three hits and two stolen bases. Richey paced the team with three RBIs.
Rylan Wilhite improved her record to 5-0 as a pitcher with a game two win, despite not having her best stuff and allowing two runs on five hits in just two innings.
The Cubs played without catcher Makaylah McCall.
Richey helped make up for McCall’s absence with two home runs in game two. Rylan Wilhite led the team with three hits.

The Cubs play Cherryvale tonight at the Humboldt Sports Complex at 4:30 p.m.
The games mark the last regular season games for both the Cub baseball and softball teams. They each look to end the regular season with undefeated marks.
