PARSONS — For the second year in a row, Iola Middle School is the owner of the Southeast Kansas League golf trophy.
The Ponies won their final golf tournament Thursday at Katy Golf Course in Parsons.
Iola’s top four golfers combined for a 192. Coffeyville was second at 205 and Chanute placed third with a 210.
Kaden Macha beat teammate Shane Walden on a scorecard playoff to take first place. Both IMS golfers shot 41s. Third place went to Matt Percy of Central Heights, who carded a 42.
Adam Peterson claimed the sixth-place medal with a 49. Drake Dieker shot a 51 for the nine-hole tournament.
Matt Jacobs finished with a 52 and right behind him was Isaiah Grover with a 53.
