After hosting their big home meet on Tuesday, the Iola middle school boys track team traveled to Girard on Thursday to compete and finished eighth. There were 12 schools at the meet.
Kyler Mittelmeier took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.25.
Iolas eighth-grade 4×400 relay team took sixth overall with a time of 4:33.
Korbin Cloud took fifth in the seventh-grade 1600 with a time of 6:16 and Kaster Trabuc (5:34) Jake Skahan (5:43) and Jesse Taylor (5:44) took third, fifth and sixth in the eighth-grade 1600.
Iolas 4×100 relay took fifth with a time of 51.68 and the 4×200 relay finished fifth as well with a time of 1:53.8.
Carter Hutton took fifth in the eighth-grade 400 with a time of 1:01.6.
Japheth Rutoh took fifth in the high jump with a height of 44 and Kolton Greathouse (2810) and Briggs Michael (2711) placed third and fifth in the seventh-grade shot put. Justin McCullough (376) and Holden Barker (353.5) took third and sixth in the eighth-grade shot.
Lastly, the sprint medley relay team for the seventh-grade Ponies took sixth with a time of 2:16.
The Ponies will compete at Anderson County on Tuesday.
