HUMBOLDT — With Mother Nature pushing the annual Whitworth Memorial Races to Sunday, area drivers took advantage of the opportunity and checked into the 3/8 mile Humboldt Speedway to chase an elusive $2,000 payday in USRA/Ray’s Metal Depot B Modified action.

Lebanon, Mo., driver Kris Jackson started outside the pole for the 30-lap event, alongside Bonner Springs ace Ethan Isaacs.

Isaacs suffered front-end damage after an incident with the turn 4 wall allowing Jackson to hold off several contenders, including 2015 USRA B Mod National Champion Andy Bryant and Springfield, Mo., driver JC Morton for the win.
