High School Baseball and Softball: Crest Lancers
Crest baseball and softball have had a lot of firsts in their short existence.
On Tuesday, both programs made history as they both got their first wins ever.
The Lancers were hosting Pleasanton a team thats also knee deep in its programs inaugural seasons.
The Lancer baseball team split with the Blu-Jays, falling 10-5 in extra innings, before pulling together a solid 8-7 win in game two.
Freshman Stratton McGhee was on the mound for Crest and junior Hayden Hermreck recorded three hits and two RBIs.
For the Lady Lancers, it was not one win but two as they swept past Pleasanton 13-6 and 14-5.
Sophomore Ridley Black got the win in game one, pitching seven innings, while walking three batters and striking out four. Senior Makayla Jones got the win in game two.
The wins came in the final home game for the Lancers this season. Theyll play at Oswego on Monday as their second-to-last game before regionals.
