Ludolph, Ratzlaff star in LCL meet

EMPORIA — Southern Coffey County’s Chonnor Ludolph secured the title of the Lyon County League’s fastest man on Thursday in the league meet in Emporia.
The junior won the 100-meter dash with a 11.72. The hurdling specialist is still relatively new to the event as he deals with a back injury that has prevented him from doing field events.
Ludolph also won his signature event, the 110-meter hurdles, by running a 15.61. He added a second-place time in the 300-meter hurdles.
The Titans picked up strong finishes in the throwing events with Dawson Leimkuhler and Cooper Harred finishing third and fourth in the shot put, Harred taking third in the discus and Jett Harvey and Kolgan Ohl taking fourth and fifth in the javelin.
The Titans finished fourth as a team.

GIRLS
The Titan girls took third as a team and junior Adina Ratzlaff led that charge by finishing in the top two in all four of her events.
Ratzlaff earned her individual gold in the 400-meter dash  with a 1:07.37.
Ratzlaff also teamed with Danielle  Kasprzak, Erikah Lyons and Braelyn Falls to win the 4×100 relay with a season-best 54.65.
Ratzlaff finished second in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
Lyons finished second in the javelin.
Crystal Alumbaugh placed in both hurdle events with a runner-up finish in the the 100-meter hurdles and a third-place finish in the 300-meter hurdle.
Lyons, Kasprzak, Falls and Jordyn Stone took second place in the 4×400 relay.
