Allen County Kids Wrestling Club held its annual Mat Warrior Open Saturday at Iola High School. There were over 300 wrestlers competing in the event.
Landon Boldra was first in the 6-and-under 40-pound bracket and Allen County teammate Alejandro Vargas was first in the 6-and-under 95-pound division. Eli Adams took first in the 6-and-under 46-pound class and Titus Jones was third.
Also in 6-and-under action, Curt Shannon and Konner Larney were second and third, respectively, in the 37-pound division. Jaaron Griffin and Payton Houk each go third in the 49-pound brackets.
Mattix Cole was third at 61 pounds. Adam Atwell was fourth at 58 pounds.
In the 8-and-under division, Clay Shannon was second at 61 pounds and T.J. Taylor was second in the 46-pound class. C.J. Shields took third at 67, Trenton Jones was third at 95 and Cooper Woods was fourth at 52.
Jeremy Ridge was the gold medal winner at 10-and-under in the 73-pound class. Cheyenne Harris placed fourth at 76 pounds.
Seth Sanford was second in the 12-and-under 190-pound division. Andrew Garber placed first in the 14-and-under 160-pound division. Also at 14-and-under, Trevor Tomlinson was third at 115 and Brice Aiello was second at 140.
In the high school division. Cody Conner and Stephen McDonald took first in the 140-pound and 220-pound classes. Zeph Larney was second in the 145-pound class.
