PARSONS — Iola High’s golf team was way off the pace in Thursday’s Southeast Kansas League designated tournament. It was the Labette County High Invitational.
The Mustangs finish ninth with a 381 team total. Independence won the 18-hole event with a 320.
Weston Hines shot a 91, tying for 21st, as Iola’s top finisher. Jon Nichols of Pittsburg was top medalist with a 69.
Jarrett Mosbrucker was next in line for the Mustangs with a 93 followed by Doug Stewart at 94. Nick Jacobs shot a 103.
Kris Collins carded a 104 and Zach Crawford shot 106.
The Mustangs travel to Coffeyville Tuesday for the third SEK designated tournament of the season.
