Iolas Pure Prairie League Pickleball group played host to a tournament Saturday at the converted tennis courts in Meadowbrook. Visiting players were from Independence and Burlington. Local players include, from left, Brian Hegwald, Humboldt, Cody Bain, Colony, Lisa and Dave Fontaine, Iola, Lyle Kern, Iola, Michelle DiLisio, Buffalo, LeAnn Kennedy, Chanute, and Jim Chandlee, Iola. The group plays Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. No membership is required and free equipment is available to newcomers.
