Red Devil men tie, women lose to NCCC

Allen County Community College’s men had four or five shots on goal in the first half but were denied.
Then again the Red Devil defense and Zack Hanks denied Neosho County Community College’s Panthers also. It was 0-0 at halftime of Wednesday’s Jayhawk Conference soccer game on the ACCC pitch.
The game ended 0-0 after two overtimes. Hanks had eight saves in the game.
The ACCC men’s soccer team is 1-2-1 in conference play and 2-3-1 overall.
In the women’s game, Neosho County staked out a 2-0 halftime lead. The Panther women added a goal off a direct kick late in the second half.
The Red Devil women had two direct kicks that sailed over the net in the second half. But most of the second half was played in the ACCC end of the field.
Chelsea Reynolds was in goal for Allen County making 12 saves. The ACCC women are 2-4 in conference and 3-5 overall.
