Allen Community College men’s soccer got a 1-0 win at Coffeyville on Saturday.

The win was the Red Devils’ first against a conference opponent and it snapped a seven-game losing streak stretching back to the beginning of September. They are 3-8-2 overall and 1-6 in Jayhawk Conference play.

The Devil’s lone, game-winning goal came unassisted from Jeffrey Soto-Molina in the 25th minute.

After an hour-long weather delay, Allen came out a bit sluggish and gave the Ravens a chance to tie things up but keeper Zakk Wilce held strong to keep Coffeyville off the board. Wilce made seven saves in the shutout.

The Lady Devils ended with a 0-0 tie. They move to 5-8-1 overall and 2-5-1 in league play.

Both teams will host rival Neosho County on Wednesday. When the two teams met back in September in Chanute, the Allen ladies walked away with a 2-1 win while the men lost 5-1.
