Allen County soccer traveled to Ottawa to play their junior varsity team. The Lady Devils fell 1-0 while the men won 2-1.
The Lady Devils fell to 2-3 while the Red Devils moved up to 2-1-2.
The Red Devil men dominated the first half and had several opportunities to get on the board but could not convert.
The score was tied at half 0-0 despite the Red Devils outshooting Ottawa 10-0.
Allen County gave up a goal early in the second half in the 55th minute off of a backfield mistake.
Trailing 1-0, the Red Devils regrouped and scored twice off of set pieces in the next 12 minutes. Both goals came courtesy of sophomore Jeffrey Soto-Molina.
Allen County had several more chances for a goal but they didnt come through. The Red Devils ended with 20 shots in the game and 10 on goal.
Zakk Wilce played in goal for Allen County and had one save.
The Red Devils open conference play at home today versus Cowley County. The women play at 2 p.m. and the men play at 4 p.m.
