The SEK Sluggers, a 10-and-under traveling softball team comprised of area youngsters, took their name literally over the weekend.
The Sluggers went 5-0-1 in taking first place at the VIP Series Beach Blast in Independence, Mo.
The Sluggers racked up 40 hits and had 37 RBIs while batting .421 as a team.
