Wildcat boys advance to Sub-State semis while girls end 2017-18 season

The Marmaton Valley boys and girls basketball teams split their Sub-State quarterfinal games on Tuesday with the girls ending their season with a 50-20 loss to Lebo and the boys advancing on to the semifinals with a 74-50 win over Chetopa.
The Wildcat girls end their season with a 3-18 record in head coach Sherri Bagshaw’s first season.
Meanwhile, the Wildcat boys — now 9-12 this year — will face Southern Coffey County in the semifinals today at St. Paul High School.
Marmaton Valley faced the Titans on Feb. 9 when they fell 62-32 in LeRoy.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
