ALTOONA — For the second time this season, the Yates Center boys’ basketball team made quick work of the Altoona-Midway Jets.
The Wildcats built a 36-0 lead at halftime and were able to cruise to a 67-8 victory on Friday.
The lop-sided result allowed Yates Center coach Tanner Davis to liberally use his bench and all 11 Wildcats who played were able to score.
Sophomore Aaron King led the Wildcats with 16 points, while senior Gavin Dillow and junior Josh King also single-handily out-scored the Jets with 10 points each.
Senior Jon Barnes and junior Braydon Gaulding led the Wildcats with five rebounds each.
Nolan Jones dished out a team-high six assists.
The victory gives the Wildcats a perfect 5-0 record heading into Christmas break.

GIRLS
The Yates Center girls’ team also cruised to an easy win over Altoona-Midway. The Wildcats won 42-15.
