FREDONIA — Yates Center High’s Wildcats finished sixth at Friday’s Tri-Valley League golf tournament.
The Wildcats combined for a 415 team total. Caney Valley had a 320 four-man total to win the team championship.
Yates Center’s top performance was turned in by Jake Morrison with an 85 for 12th place. Paula Stockebrand shot a 90 for 18th.
Blake France carded a 102. Tanner Sheldon shot a 138 and Mason Hartwig had a 147.
Koy Baird of Neodesha was the top medalist with a 78 for the 18-hole tournament.
“It would have been nice to have done better in our league meet but we came in knowing pretty much where we stood against the competition,” said Kevin Barnes, Yates Center golf coach.
