Klaira Gayle Hayes, 17, was recently crowned Senior Miss Dance America at Revolution Dance Competition in Wichita.
Klaira has danced competitively since the age of 2 at her mother’s dance studio, Spotlight Dance Academy, in Ottawa, Kansas. She also dances for the Starfire Dance Competition Team at Kari’s Dance Academy in Emporia.
Klaira is a 4-year member and captain of the two-time KSHSAA 4A State Champion Ottawa High School Cyclonettes Dance Team. She is the daughter of Mallory Melvin, the granddaughter of Mick and Mona Percy Melvin, and the great-granddaughter of Jeanne Ann Masterson Percy and the late William Glenn Percy.
