Home invasion leads to Kansas man’s arrest

Allen County sheriff’s deputies were called Sunday to a reported home invasion five miles north of iola.

The suspect fled in a vehicle before officers arrived, but was apprehended two miles north of the Allen-Anderson county line without incident.

Rian B. Young, 33, Osawatomie, was booked into the Allen County Jail for suspicion of two counts of criminal trespassing.

Humboldt man faces multiple charges

Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher L. Koch, 46, Humboldt, April 16 at a residence in Humboldt for multiple warrants out of Saline County alleging stalking (22 counts), violating a protection order (22 counts), sexual extortion (four counts), blackmail (five counts), making a criminal threat (two counts) and harassment by telecommunications device (18 counts).

Cattle hit

Janice Kimberlin told Allen County sheriff’s deputies April 20 that she was traveling along U.S. 59, about three miles north of Moran, when she struck several cows that had crossed onto the roadway. One cow was killed and two others injured.

Neither Kimberlin nor her passenger was hurt. Both were wearing seat belts, deputies reported.

Arrests reported

Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Jared W. Galemore, 45, Iola, Thursday, for suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to an incident southwest of Moran. Galemore was later booked on a separate Kansas Department of Corrections detainer.

Deputies arrested Dixie B. Collins, 57, Pleasanton, Friday on a warrant alleging she failed to appear in court on a criminal trespassing charge.

Christina F. Banning, 45, Pittsburg, was arrested Friday for a warrant out of Montgomery County, deputies reported.

Deputies arrested Tanner A. Beauvais, 31, Piqua, Wednesday for a warrant out of Muskogee County in Oklahoma.

Iola police officers arrested Hayden Matlock Wednesday for suspected domestic battery in the 400 block of North Ohio Street.

Rex W. Cullison, 65, rural Humboldt, was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of domestic battery, aggravated battery and aggravated assault after deputies were called to an incident in the 400 block of 1800 Street.
