LAHARPE — Three Allen County high school students — Iola High’s Jonathan Poffenbarger, Humboldt High’s Thane Meadows and Marmaton Valley High’s Mykayla Ard — have been named recipients of scholarships from LaHarpe High School alumni.
Each student will receive $500.
The LaHarpe High School alumni remain active, meeting each year in June.
Scholarships are funded by gifts from the alumni and friends of LaHarpe schools.
LaHarpe High School closed its doors in 1966, when it was consolidated into what became USD 257.
