Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Khloe Utley Friday morning for suspicion of domestic battery in the 500 block of East Garfield Road.
On May 11, officers arrested Zachary Genoble, 18, of Iola, for suspected possession of methamphetamine and a separate arrest warrant after he was spotted in the 300 block of North Buckeye Street. Officers later charged Genoble with suspicion of trafficking contraband into the Allen County Jail.
Crashes lead to DUI requests
Iola police officers are requesting Zoey Beasley be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic accident early Thursday in the 200 block of North Street.
On May 10, Kristopher Burgin was involved in a pre-dawn motor vehicle accident in the 600 block of North Kentucky, leading officers to charge him with driving under the influence.
Motorcyclist struck
Jericho L.M. Willey was treated for possible injuries May 3, after the motorcycle he was riding collided with an eastbound pickup driven by Stephen L. Bowman.
Iola police officers said Bowman was turning right from the inside lane of U.S. 54 as it curved at First Street, coming into contact with Willey’s motorcycle, which was in the outside lane.
Neither Bowman nor a passenger riding with him were injured.
Stopped vehicle struck
Bryson P. Trester was stopped eastbound on Miller Road, waiting to turn onto North State Street, when he backed his pickup in order to allow a semi-tractor trailer room to turn onto Miller the evening of May 6, Iola police officers reported.
Trester struck the front of a car driven by Dawn E. Murray, who was behind Trester.
Neither driver was hurt, nor were their passengers.
Parked vehicles hit
Laurie Edge was backing up in order to parallel park in the 200 block of South Sycamore Street May 7, when she struck the front bumper of a parked car owned by Trisha R. Whitehead, officers reported.
