Garnett man arrested

Samuel L. Yoder, Garnett, was booked into Allen County Jail by sheriff’s deputies on July 22, on charges of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties of a child.

The charges were filed July 10 by Allen County Attorney Brandon Cameron, stemming from an incident June 16.

Yoder, who was released on $2,000 bond, is scheduled for a bond appearance hearing Wednesday in Allen County District Court.

Cattle missing

Kitty and Monte Carriker reported that steers had either gone missing or were stolen from their property east of Elsmore.

The Carrikers said the steers, which were branded and tagged, were valued at $7,500.

Deputies said the Carrikers had reported ongoing issues related to construction of a high-voltage power transmission line across their property.

Arrests reported

Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Angela J. Loman, 48, Yates Center, for a warrant related to theft, driving while suspended and no liability insurance charges on Thursday.

Deputies arrested Christopher L. Trautloff, 42, Iola, Thursday on a warrant alleging domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

Ashley M. Ellis, 41, Iola, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies July 28 on a warrant alleging disorderly conduct.

Iola police officers arrested Jessica Rollings July 26 in the 100 block of South First Street for a warrant out of Woodson County.

On July 25, deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a reckless driver on U.S. 169 near Iola, where the driver was alleged to have been passing unsafely and running other vehicles off the road. Deputies spotted the vehicle driving 19 miles an hour above the posted speed limit. The driver, Stanley Clayton II, 45, LaMarque, Texas, was arrested for suspicion of driving without a license and expired registration.

Deputies arrested Gabriel H. Khazan, 26, Iola, for a warrant out of Harvey County on charges of felony interference with law enforcement and failing to appear in court.

Rex W. Cullison, 66, rural Humboldt, was arrested July 24 after deputies were called to a dispute southeast of Humboldt. A victim reported being threatened with a knife. Cullison faces charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Deputies arrested Nicole S.A. Gardner, 42, July 23 for a failure-to-appear warrant out of Greenwood County.

Joseph W. Heubach, 28, Peabody, was arrested July 21 for a probation revocation warrant, deputies said.

Truck burglarized

Robert Wray told sheriff’s deputies July 29 somebody vandalized and broke into his semitractor-trailer, which had been parked on the ramp at U.S. 169 and Delaware Road. Tools and miscellaneous clothing were taken. Wray valued the stolen items at $3,000.
