The Kappa Alpha Chapter, Phi Tau Omega Sorority, plans to help the Iola Recreation Department with a Santa Breakfast this morning at the Iola Middle School. Chapter members will assist the Iola Rec Department with the collection of non-perishable food items for the community food bank, as well as serve breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Santa will be there to visit with the children.

The group’s December social will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at Sam and Louie’s for the annual secret sister reveal and Christmas gift exchange.

The group met Dec. 3 at Community National Bank for a business meeting with 14 members present. Roberta Ellis read a letter from Marilyn Paul, national president.  She praised the chapters for continuing to uphold her platform of “Feeding the Hungry.”

Gas cards were given to two cancer patients, and another gas card was requested for another cancer patient.

The next business meeting will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 2, at the Community National Bank.
