Iolans can expect to see concrete pours in downtown Iola, the next phase of the U.S. 54 rebuild through downtown.
Assistant City Administrator Corey Schinstock said the subgrade work at the west edge of the site, just past Chestnut Street, is ready for concrete, as crews work their way east toward Buckeye Street.
He expected to see Bettis Asphalt begin to set up forms Monday, with concrete beginning to flow as early as Tuesday.
When the rest of the sidewalks running south of the rebuild will be removed is still up in the air.
