An ongoing heat wave that has baked much of the Great Plains will ebb a bit Sunday, with a passing storm front. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid 90s today, with a 30-percent chance of rain.

Rain chances increase to about 50 percent tonight, with Sunday’s high temperatures not expected to get out of the upper 80s.

Slightly warmer weather is expected to return by Monday, with highs in the lower 90s and lows in the lower 70s.
