EXPO showcases local businesses

The annual Iola Business EXPO “Home, Lawn and Garden,” will begin Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Riverside Park’s Recreation Center.
The Iola Area Chamber of Commerce office is pairing up with the Humboldt Chamber to put on this year’s EXPO, designed to showcase local businesses.
As of today, 38 businesses had reserved booths.
The Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) will sell concessions each day. There also will be pets available for adoption. Free rides on Iola’s Molly Trolley around Riverside Park will be given from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The EXPO will include a health and nutrition emphasis. Allen County Hospital will have a booth, as well as Gett Fitt Wellness Center and Southwind Extension office.
Booths, 10-by-10 feet, are available at $125 for Iola and Humboldt Chamber members, and $150 for non-members. Rental includes electricity.
