Fair kicks off with Style Revue, Horse Show

A busy start to the Allen County Fair brought the Style Revue and Horse Show in full display. The activities hit high gear on Thursday and run through Sunday.

The 132nd annual Allen County Fair launched in grand (and stylish) fashion Tuesday with the 4-H Public Style Revue.

After the Friends of 4-H Dinners started the proceedings, 14 youngsters delighted the crowd by modeling outfits they either shopped for or made themselves.

Aspen Wimsett, a member of the Logan Pals 4-H Club, brought home the big award of the night, a traveling trophy for having been named overall champion in sewing and textile design. She also won the sewing and textile design revue for intermediate 4-H members.
