Cooper Jaro will donate $2,000 to fund improvements to the Allen County Fair buildings. The money comes from a Frontier Farm Credit – Parsons grant that Jaro wrote on behalf of Logan Pals 4-H Club, of which he is treasurer. Brett Thornton, left, and Bruce Thornton, of Farm Credit, met Jaro, a sophomore at Humboldt High School, Monday morning. Jaro said he thought it important for 4-H members to be involved in fair building updates, since they’re the main beneficiaries. He also hopes it encourages other youth to come off the sidelines and be active in such projects, particularly swine projects, with the grant targeting swine facilities. REGISTER/BOB JOHNSON
