A two-week food drive sponsored by the Iola Rotary Club July 20-Aug. 2 brought in 1,000 non-perishable food items and $1,200 to be split among community pantries in Iola, Humboldt and Moran. Rotary donated $1 for each food item donated, while others gave cash donations. Participating in the food drive were, from left, Rotarians Alana Kinzle, Danny Mattheis and Melody Snesrud, Moran Community Pantry organizers Nelda Cuppy and Lary Manes, Rotarian Samantha Larney and Tom Waters, representing the Iola Community Pantry. Representatives from Humboldt were unable to attend Thursdays check presentation. This year was the Rotary clubs fourth annual food drive.
