Shedding light on careers

A Career Conversations event exposed Iola High School students to more than 60 potential avenues to follow once the students enter the workforce.

More than 60 area professionals spoke Thursday morning at a Career Conversations event coordinated by Dana Daugharthy, USD 257’s CTE coordinator and guidance counselor.

The event was focused on exposing students to careers in pathways offered by Iola High School.

Following their presentations, professionals gathered with students for lunch and a conversation on how to best prepare IHS students for the real world.
