March is National Sleep Month. The Allen County Regional Hospital, Thrive Allen County and Westco Home Furnishings partnered to bring area residents to sleep in front of the window in the lobby of the Thrive office at 9 S. Jefferson St. each Tuesday and Thursday through March. The goal is to teach people the importance of sleep.
Thrive CEO David Toland took the first shift March 1; ACRH CEO Tony Thompson will sleep at Thrive Tuesday and Dr. Brian Wolfe, of the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, will sleep there Thursday. Others who are scheduled to participate include: Fred Larson, Judy Works, Nathan Fawson, Janie Works and Kay Lewis.
