Nightclub roof collapse kills 113

More than 113 people have been killed and some 155 others are injured following the collapse of a roof at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — More than 113 people were killed and some 155 others were injured when the roof of a nightclub in the Dominican Republic collapsed, the national disaster relief agency said on Wednesday.

Parts of the roof collapsed on the hundreds of party-goers during a concert by the merengue singer Rubby Pérez.

The newspaper Listín Diario’ cited Pérez’s manager as saying that the musician died in the collapse. Local authorities did not initially confirm the information. Pérez, who is popular in Latin America, had initially been reported…
