Stocks fell across the globe today on concerns the spread of coronavirus will begin affecting the economy. New cases have been found in Europe, where markets in Germany, France and Great Britain all suffered losses.

Global stock markets fell today on concerns that the coronavirus was spreading to more countries, putting further strain on businesses and supply chains across the world.

In Europe, where new cases were being reported, the markets in Germany, France and Great Britain all suffered losses. Markets were also down in Japan and South Korea.

In the U.S., the future for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1% and the future contract for the S&P 500 was 0.9% lower.
