Curtice E. Call, 85, of Forsyth, Mo., and formerly of Mildred died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at his home.
He was born July 10, 1925, in Mildred, to Clifford and Emma (Hackett) Call. He graduated from Mildred High School. He lived in Mildred until 1987 when he retired to Forsyth.
On Aug. 18, 1945, he married Shirley Ray. She preceded him in death. He married Mary Ann Burrows on Dec. 31, 1983.
He was a lifelong farmer/dairy farmer in the Mildred area until retiring to Missouri. He continued to work, riding a tractor mowing the golf courses in Pointe Royale in Branson, Mo., for many years.
He enjoyed watching all types of sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. He was also a member of a Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Steve and his wife, Liz, Kansas City, and Dennis and his wife, Dianne, Great Bend; three daughters, Susan Sander, Garnett, Diane Myers and her husband, Wayne, Derby, and Loretta Perin and her husband, Bobby, Forsyth; three stepsons, Steve Dunn, Forsyth, Greg Dunn, Sandy, Utah; and Roy Dunn, Louisville, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and one sister died earlier.
Funeral services were this afternoon at Mildred United Methodist Church. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Mildred.
