Linda S. Knight, 62, Ottawa, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Olathe Hospice House.
Family will meet with friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Melvern Cemetery.
Linda was born Sunday, July 19, 1953, in Yates Center, the daughter of H.E. “Bud” and Maxine (Herb) Redfearn, Jr.
She lived in Pleasanton and Emporia before moving in 1989 to Ottawa.
She graduated from Iola High School with the class of 1971 and continued her education at Allen County Community College, graduating with an associate of arts in 1973.
Linda was united in marriage with Randy Knight Nov. 20, 1976, in Iola. They were later divorced.
Survivors include her mother, Maxine Redfearn; son, Bryan Knight, Bedford, Texas; siblings, R. Randy Redfearn and wife Suzy, Melbourne, Fla., Synda Kitts and husband Mel, Goddard, and Renee Redfearn, Olathe; nephews, Royce Redfearn Jr. and wife Brook, Fort Worth, Texas, and Holden Kitts, Goddard; and great nephew, Ryker Redfearn.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeremy Knight; and father, H.E. “Bud” Redfearn, Jr.
Linda was employed as a secretary, bookkeeper and later as librarian with the Ottawa Library from 1990 to 2015.
She was a volunteer with the Franklin County Historical Society. 
She enjoyed golfing, Friday night UNO, bowling, traveling to Branson, and above all, being with her family.
