Marcella Nell Wrampe, 90, of Yates Center died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Yates Center Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1919, near Rose, the daughter of Raymond S. and Susie E. (Darst) Orbin. She attended Pleasant Valley Rural School and was graduated from Yates Center High School in 1937.
On June 8, 1946, she married Milton C. Wrampe in Eureka. A nephew, Darrell L. Wrampe, came to make his home with them in 1965. Her husband died Jan. 1, 1989.
She was a member of First Christian Church and a charter member of Woodson County Historical Society. She served four years as deputy county clerk and 26 years as Woodson County clerk before her retirement in 1985.
She is survived by two sisters, Naomi Condit and her husband Leslie, and Margaret Bennington, Yates Center; her nephew, Darrell Wrampe and his wife Dianne and their family, North Carolina; and numerous other nephews, nieces and friends.
A sister, Mildred, died earlier.
The family will gather to greet friends at 1 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.
