Scott Allan Houk, 42, of Moran died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1968, in Fort Scott, to Robert Allan “Bob” and Janet Alliene (Jackman) Houk. He grew up in Moran and graduated from Marmaton Valley High School in 1986. He made his home in Moran where he worked for Klein Tool and later at Gates Corporation in Iola.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and outdoor activities.
He is survived by two sons, Taylor and Dalton, both of Moran; his parents, Bob and Janet Houk, Moran; a sister, Sheri Smith and her husband, Shane, Moran; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A sister, Teri Wagner, died in 1991, and his grandparents, C.A. and Elaine Houk and Herman and Florence Jackman, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hope Chapel west of Bronson. Inurnment will be in Moran Cemetery at a later date.
