ARKANSAS CITY — Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams from Allen Community College went on the road to face off against Cowley County Community College on Saturday afternoon, but neither squad was able to pick up a victory.
The Lady Red Devils were shut out 2-0, which dropped their record to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
Just a little less than two weeks ago, Allen had been above .500 on the season and 2-2 in league play. But now a three-game losing streak has coach Jeremy McGinnis’ team sitting in 10th place within the conference.
As for the men’s team, the Red Devils were also shut out against the Tigers, losing 3-0. Allen’s current five-game skid has sunk them to 10th place in the conference at 4-10 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Both the men’s and women’s teams have just four games remaining in the regular season, all of which are conference contests.
