KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Allen Red Devils opened the Jayhawk Conference volleyball season with a four-set loss to the KCKCC Blue Devils Wednesday night.
The Blue Devils, ranked 10th in a recent NJCAA poll, seemed to cruise early after a 25-16 win in the opener game, which set the tone for the game.
After KCKCC took game two, 25-15, a sweep seemed inevitable but the Red Devils staved it off with a 25-19 third-set victory. Allen eventually succumbed in the fourth set 25-19.
