Allen Community College’s cross country team finished well individually at the King Sandwich Shop Classic Friday night.
The women competed in a two-mile run. Alisn Stevens, the Red Devil’s lone woman runner, came in fourth among 19 runners. She completed the meet in 13 minutes, 28.62 seconds, averaging a 6:44.4 minute mile.
Allen’s men took first overall, beating out five other schools.
Allen had five runners finish in the top 10. Pedro Montoya finished second with a time of 15:40.45. Brock Artis came in third, finishing in 16:05.51.
Ben Najman, Trail Spears and Connor Immenschuh took eighth through 10th, respectively.
Meshach Adams, Daniel Driskill and Jeremy Brittain fell just out of the top 10, placing 13th through 15th. Mitchell Greenlee took 27th, while Diego Sanchez finished in 29th. Sixty men competed.
The men ran a 5K.
Allen will next compete in the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic in Memphis, Tenn., Friday.
