The Humboldt volleyball team has been awarded the Kansas Volleyball Association Team Academic Award.
To win the award, the Cubs had to earn at least a 3.37 GPA in the first semester.
The association also gives individual awards. To qualify for the First-Team All-Academic, student athletes had to maintain a 4.0 GPA.
The Cubs had 10 first-team members with Annalise Whitcomb, Sydney Houk, Kira McReynolds, Chassis Hoepker, Morgan Mauk, Lizzie Myers, Alayna Johnson, Emma Johnson and Camrie Farran.
Aricah McCall was named All-Academic honorable mention. To achieve that, she was required to maintain a 3.75 GPA.
The awards cap off an excellent season where the Cubs saw plenty of success on the court during a run all the way to the state tournament.
