Iola Middle School track athletes were to have competed in Girard Middle School’s meet Thursday. The meet had been moved from its original date, April 21, because of track resurfacing.
“Girard’s track resurfacing will not be finished in time to have its meet Thursday,” said Terry Lower, IMS athletic director and boys’ track coach. “The makeup date is May 13, which is our Worlds of Fun trip for the seventh grade, so we will not be competing at Girard this year.”
The IMS track season is over. Lower said track check-in is Thursday after school in the IMS commons area.
