Iola High players earn spots on All-Pioneer League teams

Iola High’s football season may not have ended with a trip to the playoffs, but the team had five players earn All-Pioneer League honors.
Kaden Macha earned first team All-Pioneer League for both linebacker and punter. He also earned second team honors as a running back. Macha had 612 rushing yards on 122 carries this season. He had 112 tackles in 2014 and over 300 in his career.
Ethan Sigg earned first team honors for his play on the offensive line. Alex Bauer earned second team honors for offensive line and Colton Heffern was an honorable mention at offensive line. The offensive line helped the team run for 2,041 yards on the season.
Brice Aiello  earned second team for defensive back. He had 101 tackles and two interceptions.
The players will be honored at the football banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 in the lecture hall.
