Iola’s Walden, Honeycutt on winning all-star teams

PITTSBURG — Iola High’s Seth Walden knocked down three three-pointers to help Team KLKC defeat Team KSEK 100-91 in Sunday’s annual U.S. Army/Army Strong All-Star  Game.
Walden also won the boy’s three-point shootout, making 11 of 20 shots, during the high school all-star game weekend.
Tevin Strack of Humboldt High had two points for  Team KSEK.
In the girls’ all-star action, Iola High’s Jazymne Honeycutt scored nine points plus led the team woth four steals. Team KLKC won the girls’ game 77-65.
Honeycutt was 4-for-4 at the free-throw line and had four rebounds.
Uniontown High’s Abbie Smith tossed in 10 points and had five rebounds for Team KSEK. She also was 4-for-4 at the line.
