Kayle Riebel will be a Red Devil next school year.
Riebel signed a letter of intent with the Allen Community College softball team, during a signing party in the ACC library.
“I’m a little nervous, but I’m ready to play,” Riebel said at the signing.
Many women in her family have been softball players in Humboldt, and Riebel said she has been playing since she was very young.
While nerves may not play a huge part, she said playing at the college level will be a bit different.
“It’s definitely a step up,” she said, referring to the competition.
Riebel plays outfield, and assumes that’s where she will be placed in the upcoming season.
During the party, Coach Jamie Amerine introduced numerous new Red Devils from across the state.
