Just before heading off to this weekend’s regional meet in Arkansas City, Allen sophomore Ra’Nayla Moten received a final sendoff from school officials after being name ACC Female Athlete of the Year.

Moten accepted the award following a whirlwind year, which included winning the indoor 60-meter dash national title and taking second in the 200-meter dash in February. Before accepting her award, Moten was recoginzed by ACC track coach Greg Franklin as the 2026 ACC Track and Field Women’s Most Valuable Athlete.

“Ra’Nayla also has school records in the 60, the 100, the 200 and the 400,” ACC Athletic Director Doug Desmarteau said.

“She is second all-time in the NJCAA in the 60 meters and third all-time in the 200 meters and 10th all time in the 100 meters. She also has 3.8 GPA.”

Before the 2026 outdoor track and field season, Moten accepted a scholarship offer to compete for Texas Tech.
