HUMBOLDT — Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., made his first run at Humboldt Speedway a good one Sunday afternoon.
The Speedway moved its regular Friday night races to Sunday because of weather conditions.
Sheets dueled John Allen and Brian Bolin most of the modified feature race. All three led at least one lap in the race.
Allen took to the bottom of the track, passed Sheets and had a two-to-three car length lead. Sheets went high and gained the lead for the victory.
Allen finished second with Bolin in third. Jesse Folk Jr. ran fourth with Justin Folk coming across in fifth place.
Factory stock race fans saw double Sunday afternoon. The factory stock feature race of April 8 was postponed because of lightning so it was run as well as the regular scheduled race.
In the first feature, Dale Price won the pole position and used it for the victory. Scott Stuart was second followed by Jeremy Wilson, Derrek Wilson and Brandon Tindle.
Jeremy Wilson claimed the win in the second go for the factory stock drivers. Stuart ran second again with Derrek Wilson in third, Ed Muller in fourth and Tim Phillips in fifth.
Blake Kisner claimed the pure stock feature race. Brandon Roland was the runner-up followed by Jeremy Willard. Levi Phillips took fourth and Tyler Kidwell was fifth.
Levi McGowen dominated the B-Mod feature. Jeremy Chambers placed second. Dalton Kirk drove to third place followed by Jerry Brown and Jimmie Davis.
