The Allen Red Devils women’s soccer team hopes to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-2 loss to Jayhawk Conference rival Highland.
Allen (4-4-1, 0-3-1) continues looking for its first conference win after coming up short over the weekend.
Allen freshman Priya Stanger accounted for both Red Devils’ goals, but it was not enough as Highland scored four unanswered goals to secure the victory.
Stanger reached the back of the net the first time after sending in a shot off a rebound. Following four consecutive goals from Highland, Stanger struck again at the 88-minute mark of the second period, but it wasn’t enough to get Allen back into contention.
The Red Devils return to the pitch Wednesday, when they host their arch rival in the Neosho Community College Panthers. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
