Swim season may be over for many area swimmers, but they did not go out quietly with multiple Iola and Humboldt swimmers medaling at Saturday's league meet in Chanute.

CHANUTE — It took a team effort to lift the Iola Seahorses to third place in the SEK League Meet while Humboldt made the most of its talent to take fifth Saturday.

Despite facing much larger cities Saturday, Iola and Humboldt held their own but the Seahorses numbers may have worked in their favor in the end as Iola posted 1,527 points in 77 contests, which fell behind first-place Chanute and second-place Independence.
