CHANUTE The Iola Mustangs were a tag away from avoiding a loss in their season-opening 4-3 defeat.
The Mustangs fell to 0-1 in the young season.
In the end, all it came down to was a few missed plays, head coach Mark Percy said. Its tough but these guys still believe we have a good team. No one was pouting. Games before spring break are always tough because you only have two weeks of practice going in.
